Consistent with Calluna’s philosophy on wine making, we eschew the soft, fruit-bomb style of Malbec in favor of a wine of focus. The vivid fruit includes a hint of the flamboyant blueberry character of Malbec, and it is joined by the bright acidity and savory elements which keep the wine in balance. With moderate alcohol and no new oak barrels used, this Malbec pairs perfectly at the table with late winter stews, grilled meats, and mild hard cheeses.
